Version 6.2

Latest

March 2026

The current stable release. Focused on reliability, multi-display polish, and macOS Sequoia compatibility.

Full macOS 15 Sequoia compatibility. Verified against all Sequoia beta builds, including updated WindowServer behavior and new Stage Manager APIs.

Improved multi-display support. Hover & Peek panels now correctly position on external monitors with different scaling factors and refresh rates.

Reduced idle CPU usage to under 0.1%. Refactored the Dock observation loop to use event-driven polling instead of timer-based checks.

Clipboard history now automatically masks passwords and one-time codes detected via Apple's AutoFill metadata, preventing accidental exposure in the panel.

Added Japanese and Italian localizations. The app and website now support 8 languages: English, 中文, Français, Deutsch, Español, Polski, Italiano, 日本語.

Version 6.1

Stable

January 2026

Major feature release introducing OmniSync cross-device clipboard, the Pro Clipboard Manager redesign, and edge snapping.

Introduced OmniSync — cross-device clipboard sync between iPhone and Mac via iCloud. Copy on one device, paste on the other. End-to-end encrypted, no third-party servers.

Added edge snapping for window management. Drag any window to the screen edge to snap it into half, quarter, or fullscreen layout — similar to native macOS tiling but with more precision.

Redesigned the Pro Clipboard Manager panel with richer previews, inline search, and a compact timeline view for recently copied items.

Implemented memory-safe dynamic image downsampling for clipboard history. High-resolution screenshots are automatically resampled via CoreImage to a configurable max dimension (default 1200px).

Added trackpad haptic feedback (.alignment and .generic) for window snapping confirmation and Dock hover activation.

Version 6.0

Major

October 2025

A ground-up rewrite of the Hover & Peek engine, the Global Switcher, and the File Shelf. Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later.

Completely rebuilt Hover & Peek with a new rendering pipeline. Window thumbnails now update in real time using ScreenCaptureKit instead of legacy CGWindowListCreateImage, delivering smoother previews at lower CPU cost.

Rebuilt the Global Switcher (Option+Tab) with a full-screen window grid, smart filtering that removes ghost windows, and arrow-key / type-to-search navigation.

Integrated native macOS Quick Look for the File Shelf. Press Spacebar on any shelved file to trigger the system-native Quick Look preview panel.

Implemented deep ghost-window filtering. The switcher and Hover & Peek now automatically exclude invisible system UI windows, notification banners, Spotlight overlays, and other non-interactive background layers.

Rewrote the entire app in Swift 5.9 with strict concurrency. Eliminated all known data races and reduced launch time by 40%.

New onboarding flow for Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions. Clear explanations of why each permission is needed, with one-click navigation to System Settings.

Version 5.0

Foundation

May 2025

The first public release of DockMaster. Core features hardened through six months of private beta testing.

Live window previews from the Dock. Hover over any app icon to see real-time thumbnails of all open windows. Click any thumbnail to bring that window to the front.

File Shelf for drag-and-drop workflows. Drag files from any app onto the Shelf to hold them temporarily, then drop them into a different app or workspace.

Clipboard history panel accessible from the Dock. Text, images, links, and file references are captured and searchable.

Added absolute cross-desktop (Spaces) window awakening. Select any window in the switcher and it raises instantly — no Space transition animation.

All clipboard and window processing is fully local. No data is uploaded. Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions are used solely for on-device functionality.
